Hello everyone! I just picked up a '88 Turbo 5spd for the princely sum of $700. It runs and drives but needs a bunch of work and has a lot of random stuff done (or not done) to the engine. I've been going through and tightening everything, putting hose clamps on, fixing vacuum leaks, fixing PS leaks, fixing coolant leaks, making the windows work, making the seat work, making the stereo work and a general clean up from years of neglect.
I'm a mechanic by trade and by hobby and have had more than my share of old Toyotas. My total so far is 3 '85 Celicas, 1 '84 celica, 3 '86 MR2s, 1 '81 pickup, 1 '88 Corolla FX16, 1 '87 Corolla GTS (AE86) and I've helped several friends with all sorts of other cars. I'm sure I'll need some help with engine stuff on this and identifying some of the crap that's been done to it but that's for another thread.
