new rods and pistons

well i just tore down my engine tonight and found a nice set of eagle h-beam rods and arias pistons. they looked like the car had hardly been driven since they were put in there, hardly any wear. i was told they were in there when i bought the car but i was excited to see for myself.

Cool, I've got that same setup inside my 7m. I've yet to 'run' it, but we'll see how far I get this holiday season with school out...

Are you just tearing down and cleaning everything up for a regular rebuild?

the car was not running when i bought it. the other owner had put a a1000 on it that had burned up and he sold all of his aftermaket stuff off of it, ffim fuel system, all the turbo stuff and exhaust. i just want to make sure that everything internally is sound. it looks as though the head was leaking oil pretty bad.

remove all the caps one by one and check clearence

im gonna send the pistons off and have the skirts coated.
