ok iv just recently put another 7mgte into my soarer due to my bttom end bearings going in my other one, did everything without a problem but when it comes to running the car i have a few glitches, it idles fine and revs out fine in neutral (altho it may stall sometimes if u rev it above 3000rpm and then let the accelerator off), so when you go to drive it the turbo starts spooling like craazy at about 1000rpm and it sounds like heaps of air is entering but i cant find any places where it could be entering that quick, then gettin up in the rev range to about 2000rpm the car sort of coughs and wont go any higher and when you take ur foot off the accelerator momentarily the revs drop right down and the engine will shut off but maybe sometimes it will pick up again, im stumped, any help would be appriciated

i had something similar happen to me after a rebuild and it turned out to be a messed up knock sensor so id check that out
also the turbo thing just sounds like an exhaust leak at the turbo elbow/ downpipe gasket

ok found it, massive boost leak, the turbo down pipe was broken ( rubber pipe coming from bottom of turbo) so put another one on and that fixed the boost leak, and yeh the tps is out of alignment so gonna get that done wen i get my tune done, cheers guys
This criticism is only constructive not to shit on you or anything but when you say "turbo down pipe" it sounds like the downpipe not the compressor to intercooler hose as you intended
Ya that would be the lower ic hose. The down pipe is part of the exhaust. But that might be some auzzie talk.
