I figure I would post some new results of recent work into the shop car. One of these days I will make a build thread with all the details but for now this will do. I will get some the time slip and some vids posted up soon.

Here is a basic rundown of the car:

-1jzgte swap
-USDM 2jz custom machined cams
-MK4 Denso fuel pump
-BIC top feed rail with 750cc injectors
-DBB SP61 turbo, .58 a/r turbine
-BIC custom 3.5" DP and Thunder catback exhaust system
-Haltech PS2000 EMS
-AEM water/ Meth kit
-Garrett/ Spearco custom 24x12x3.5" intercooler
-BIC custom 2.5" intercooler piping
-255/50/16 MT ET Street drag radials

We recently installed one of the new Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 EMS' to replace the E11v2 that was in the car. It has updated injector drivers and awsome software that is user definable. We also installed an AEM Water/ meth injection kit with the largest nozzle so we could run higher boost on pump gas and not have to constantly buy race gas for almost $20 per gallon!!.

So we were off to the dyno to tune it with the water meth kit. We did some power tuning and got it up to 20 psi on the water meth with a safe tune and made some decent numbers (on a Mustang Dyno). We got back to the shop and loaded the street tune maps in....10 seconds later the Laptop froze and the hard drive crashed!!!.

Now with the hard drive toast we lost the tune for water/ meth. By the time we got to the dyno there was another car still on the dyno....we got it strapped on and only had 35 minuites to get another Water/ meth tune done. So we started doing pulls and ended up with almost another +100 HP and tuned for 24 psi. With the fuel pressure dropping in the top end, so its time to add a second fuel pump. I have a Bosch 044 waiting to go in.
On the Dynojet at 24-25 psi we managed 449 whp and 410 TQ, not bad for a 35 min tune and the "tourqless 1J" . Wow...24 psi on the street is simply wicked!!!:evil2:

I also managed a new personal best of 12.38 at 116 MPH, with a 2.0 60'. With a better launch and some more tuning 11's will be in reach.

We will be sure to hit the dyno again soon (for more than 35 min, lol) and tune more aggressivly and run more boost. I would like to see what she can do at 27-28 psi. This Friday is another drag event so hopefully I can clean up my launch and get some better times. Stay tuned for new numbers.

Randy

I think u need a larger turbocharger. Is 25PSI enough? lol.

If you install a Bosch 044 pump, it would only make sense.

I bet it's a raped ape on the street at that boost though! I can only imagine the spool with the .58 housing. I'm using a 1.06 housing so it's two worlds apart in spool.

I see boost at any rpm with my foot to the floor, I have seen boost at 1500 rpms going up my driveway. Full boost is at about 3700-3800 on the street. I may try a larger .68 housing down the road.

Yes I am running a 2 step.

I went to the track on friday and ran some more good times, we tried out the Anti Lag, it was pretty wild making 15-17 psi boost off the line!!!, I ran a new best time of 12.24 @115 mph, also managed to do a few 118 MPH runs!!!. This is while spinning all the way through first even with the MT DR's. I am running pretty consistent 2.0 60's. If I can get a 1.9 or 1.8 60' that should be an 11.xx. There was a 16 year old kid racing dady's Lambo Gillardo, he was running high 11's at 120 ish. I should have lined up against him.

UPDATE: I went to the track on friday and did a 12.16 @118.12 MPH, with a pretty average 2.10 60'. I raced a BPU mk4 that ran 13.8 @107. If I can get my 60's a bit better I will be in the 11's. We will see next friday!!!!

Also I raced the BIC 1jz swapped 89 Toyota P/U that did 12.7 at 114mph!!!
