Need your Opinions on removing bumper grill (Pics inside)

Hey guys, I need your opinions, because what I'm thinking about doing is not reversible. I installed my Spec G Lip this weekend, and I am now considering cutting the bumper grill. I did my best removing the Grill with photoshop for you guys to get a better Idea. Should I go for it?

Mine is cut and it doesn't sag down...I'd say go for it. Very nice car. Clean.
your red looks more red than my car, you have original paint?

If you cut it out just make sure you fill in all the little parts of the bumper or it'll look dumb.

It looks good both ways.

Really? Those fins don't block ANY air? Removing the fins doesn't increase the overall size of the hole in any way allowing more air to flow in?

WILD! I guess it really is all in my head then.

I personally think it looks better and is surely doesn't hurt performance.

This took quite a few weeks - but remember that I was also building a water fountain in the back yard and out doing other activities so it wasn't like I was working on this all day.

The biggest pain is all the sanding. I am probably going to order a brand new skin and redo the whole thing just so it is nice and perfect.

If you don't fill it in, don't cut it. cut out grills that aren't filled in just look trashed. and takes away from the car.

but the cut out grill that's filled in so it still looks factory and clean is another story.

I like it stock with the grill though. makes it hard to see the IC at most angles, which I personally like alot.

It looks great removed *properly* as viewed on your photoshops and Keith's car.

A properly removed grill is awesome. Just brace the lower half of the bumper so it doesn't sag.

::edit:: Joe, if you paint the IC satin black, it'd be teh hawt.

When I put in an aftermarket IC, I'm thinking about it. :)

I couldn't agree with you more on this statement. I've seen too many MkIIIs where they just left the cuts visible - so you can clearly tell it was hacked up.

It looks very very clean both ways.

I suggest you cut it, but do it right. Meaning fill it, ect.

Or leave it alone!
