Greetings all,
This is directed more towards the technical(math) aspect of engine building. Trying to find a thread or formula that would allow me to determine CFM needed for building and tuning a 750HP 7MGTE. Specifically so I can determine the compressor wheel and housing size needed for a set of twins I am going to build for a 7MGTE. I know-Twins on a 7M? WTF-heard this already:3d_frown: The bottom of the motor is being rebuilt (Weisco, Eagle, Cleavite, oil pump, shims, reworked squirters..ect, ect.) Head is getting reworked(Oversized valves, porting, port-matching, polishing, custom ground cams, ect, ect) So the long block mechanicals will be strong, and built to take it.
My goal on the twins is to be able to flow enough on the top end for 750hp at 6250(Redline on my longblock-sodium balanced-blueprinted) and build enough boost early enough for my car to be fun to drive in town. I would like to start building boost around 2750 and hit max PSI(22-25 havent determined that, more math to do) around 5500. I know this has alot to do with many other factors, fuel map, cam profile, injector pulse length, I just need the formula so I can start with what is needed airflow wise, and start do other math based off of that. Thanks for the help
