My car is in the shop right now and I had a guy that was supposed to work on it but he had to go away (military). This I knew was coming, but I was under the understanding that they knew about doing work on Supras. I talked to the owner and he asked me," Are you sure you want to put 2 pumps IN the tank? I never heard of that? How are we supposed to do that?" Does anyone know of a site that explains FULLY and in depth how to do this (as I am getting pretty nervous)? Thanks.

There's really nothing to it - make sure you have adequate power delivery, and ground, and wire the two pumps to activate together. You'll need a dual pump hanger, and it'll take some wiggling to get it all into the tank.

Tissimo: This doesn't help as my car is going thru a complete change and parts are everywhere. I am trying to go to Import Wars on Nov 4 at Md Intl Raceway. I don't have time to look for another shop. And even if I found one, there is no telling if they can squeeze me in in time.

Doward: Where do you get this hanger? I saw one on PHR's site and they wanted ridiculous money for it ($500). Do you need to shield the pump magnets from each other?

copy paste SF...

If you have the chance, go to another shop, I mean come on, if they can't even do that I wouldn't trust them on anything else! And if they say they even haven't heard of dual pumps in tank...
I'd run.

But ok, to help you out, here's how we did it. It's on a mkiv, but the principle is the same.
