is the wheel track on the mkiii the same from the front to back.

i want to do my alignment at home and this is important, from what i've found.

im in a pretty tight financial time and cannot afford to bring my car to a shop
and the toe is off pretty bad.

so i want to do it the homemade way (youtube video shows how to do it)
but im not sure if our wheel track is the same front to rear.

thanks

thanks man. theres a lot of good info in there.

I am just looking to see if the front hub bolts are the same distance apart as the rear hub bolts.

im trying the string method. it needs to be parallel to the front and rear hubs but if the front and rear hubs are different lengths then i will
have to use the method in your link.

thanks for the help. i may end up making one of those setups and going from center tire to center tire and rolling the car forward half a tire rotation.

shot in the dark on bringing this thread back.

i measured (very roughly) my front and rear wheel track from inside rims to see if they were the same wheel track.
the rears actually looked like they were 1 inch narrower.

can anybody confirm this.
