Old pigtail harness for my lexus AFM was really worn and wires started to rip so I got another one of ebay and don't remember what wires goes where because the stock wire are different color.. From harness: 2 brown, 1 blue with red line, 1 solid green, and 1 green with red line. From new pigtail: 2 brown, 1 blue with red line, 1 yellow with green line, and 1 yellow with black line.. For the two brown wires, does it matter how they are connected? I am guessing the blue wire with the red line connects to the other blue wire.. I am not so sure about the other two wires.. It starts up and dies right away.. Got code 31(AFM) code 24(Intake air temp).. Any advice or suggestions is much appreciated.. I hoping this will solve the starting and dying problem..

Here are some pics I took:

I would use the EWD from Toyota, but that is just me. And I would buy the connectors available, and then splice them into the plastic connector.

okay so got all the wires connected and she starts up and stays on, but when you rev it, it cuts out at 5000 rpm.. ecu? tps? idle air control valve?

Codes? And are you sure that it's really 5000 RPM? My tach was reading about that when the engine was at 7,000.

it doesn't idle at 5000 rpm, but when you rev it up, it cuts out about 5000 rpm.. she idle at about 1000 rpm.. okay so today i go out to the car to start it again and starts up and dies right away.. the other day when i wired in the new afm pigtail, it starts up and stay on no problem, just didn't rev past 5000 rpm.. check for codes and got 31, 22, and 24.. 31 for air flow meter, 22 for water temp sensor, and 24 for air temp signal.. might have to check the wire again tomorrow..

still getting the same codes.. 31, 22, and 24.. wiring for the afm must be right because it starts up and stay on.. but when you rev it, it cuts out at 2000 rpm.. first and second gear she bogs out really bad until you put it in third and not as much.. the water temp sensor was replaced with a new one a couple of days ago, but i am thinking of putting another new one in to see what happens.. i believe code 31 and 24 are the same thing.. if code 31 is fixed, it should delete code 24.. any suggestions?
