Recently I bought a 89 Turbo Supra and I will be needing some serious advice. Here is a run down of parts that are on this car and get some input on how I should handle getting this thing in order and tuned so that I don't blow her up. So here is my parts list and you tell me what i am missing or need to get to tune this car safely and will allow me to upgrade later to my final goal of 350 to 400HP.
1.) Blitz BAG Turbo - I understand its a slight step up from stock
2.) Mallory FRP - Looks to be a Rising style but not sure
3.) SupraSport Lipp AFM - Read that this requires a fuel upgrade which I guess the Mallory is a start but not the recommended
4.) 3 inch Turbo Back Exhaust - Not sure of the Brand or if cat has been removed
5.) Had a Apexi EBC but the computer was stolen - Thinking I will just get a MBC to get her running and look to upgrade if needed in the future.
Should I look into a SAFC or MAF-T Pro or are those even need to get me going. Once she is running I will be doing some Dyno work to tune it but right now looks like the only tunning is the AFM not sure about that and the Mallory FPR. BTW this is a test of everyone's knowledge as I have also bounced this off Dr.Jonez and will be comparing answers. Remember to use a Number 2 pencil and fill in the bubbles completely or you answer will not count.
