Hello everyone, I have a jdm 7mge motor I am dropping into a turbo auto, I heard somewhere that I have to change the oilpan because jdm 7mge only came in cressida? is this true... I thought that the supra also came with it there. Also will my starter from my 7mgte work on the 7mge. One more question :biglaugh: in my supra next to my motor mount on the driver side there is a "shock absorber" that hooked to the motor mount on the block, but the 7mge has a fuel filter in the same position... do I move the filter? or just not use the mount?

It probably came out of a cressida. The motor mounts will be different than the Supra so you will have to switch them. Like suprabad said the Supra fuel filter is above the rear axle, the cressida I believe has it mounted were the J tube location is. There's probably a few other things I can't remember off hand that has to be changed over like a few of the sensors are different on a JDM, they don't have a EGR, just make sure you don't throw away any parts until your done with the swap. The shock absorber thing I don't know about that. That's a new one to me, it's attached to the motor mount?

The oil pan is different and so is the oil pump. I don't know if the oil pump's pickup can be moved or not. Personally, I'd put in a new pump.

Yep that's what I forgot. Thanks CRE. And like he said a new pump is the way to go. If you got it from a distributor, they usally won't guarantee it with out that change.
