Took my car to thor racing in kenilworth just south of birmingham, they were having terrible trouble innitially of uncontrollable boost which was thought to be the wastegate (I have a screamer pipe and we could see ex gas coming out so they said might be diaphragm or wastegate too small)
After playing about a bit he concluded that it was the boost controller was faulty, I have a hks evc4 which i bought secondhand, it did work but I must admit it has been stood now for 18-24months, could the stepper motor be stuck is this common?
Thankfully he was able to map up to 5500-6000rpm so it is drivable now so no more tralloring
Horsepower ended up at 330 at the wheels which doesn't seem bad considering it wasn't working properly
What do you think just get the boost controller replaced or could it be something else also?
