hey every one i wanted to share the progress of my new build I'm starting i abandoned the interior idea for now.

basically i sold almost everything i had to buy the new motor 7MGTE from my friend i got a good price 450$ for entire motor ecu and harness because he is going 1JZ due to the issue with the motor i bought.. it has a knocking noise he told me possible rod Bering or something..

Any way this is what i plan on doing so far..

"Project 27JZMGE-T or... 27JZMGTE... both 3.0 liter standard... Power plan's...

700WHP single turbo MKIII Supra.

2JZ cylinder head... Cam’s, gears, valves, ETC...
7M N/A block, pistons connecting rods etc...
7MGTE upgraded injectors, oil return lines, etc...
----------------------------------------------------------------
Parts to get to reach 700WHP..

1.) UPGRADED TURBO [Garrett GT4508R |Horsepower 700 - 1100]
2.) ARP HEAD BOLTS
3.) CP PISTONS
4.) EAGLE RODS AND BEARINGS
5.) METAL HEAD GASKET
6.) 3.5" TURBO BACK EXHAUST
7.) ALUMINUM RADIATOR, CATCH CAN, OVERFLOW TANK
8.) HIGH GRADE INTER COOLER
9.) B.O.V, BOOST CONTROLLER, TURBO TIMER,
-----------------------------------------------------------------

to be quite honest ive never had above 390HP so i might not touch the 700 mark quite yet but i think its a great goal to work towards..

here are some pictures so far

Will a 2jz head work on a 7m block? And if so what is the point exactly of doing that? Im a little confused here and would like a little more information on why that was your choice?

well like i said a 2jz head was just a thought.. as far as the block it will bolt the same im pretty sure the NA 2jz has a lot of the same components that the NA 7M has.. so it should be P&P in a seance.. but i haven't gotten a head from a 2j yet when i get it i know i can return it so ill let you know then.. ^_^ the 2j head was for the NA 7M btw higher air flow etc. but that idea went out the door in a way because i just brought home a whole motor.. lmao

Umm... I'm confused. So you're going to shoot for 700WHP based off the 2JZ head, a 7MGE block that doesn't have oil squirters, and 7MGTE... misc parts?

I mean, I had this idea of 2JZ valves on my 7M head later down the road but...

well i meant to say i want to use the 7M block i forgot to mention that its a GTE block as far as the head the NA 2jz head is the same as the 7M the cams are set up wider for faster response through the intake and exhaust ports there both the same compression ratio 5-9-1 for the NA and 5-4-1 for the GTE i basically have to wait till i get more money together i was just excited to share my idea's with my forums friends and get some sujestions im tired of people saying 1J this 2J that.. so hence my build..

OK so far so good i got a lot more done to the motor haven't been able to log on in a while to give an update I'm now to the bottom end of the car about to pop out the crank but the damn bolt wont come lose for me to take off the pulley as far as the main issue with my friends motor[this project motor]was he felt as if he spun a rod bearing which in fact wasn't the case the bearings for cyl. 1,3,6 were disintegrated into the oil pan and left a metallic filament inside the pan so as usual ill continue at a slow pace to make sure everything gets handled accordingly.

You really think a 2JZ head will fit on a 7M block?
(this I got to see)

compression ratio 5-9-1 for the NA and 5-4-1 for the GTE

What?!? Stock compression for a turbo motor is 8.4:1...I'm confused.

Dude - it's pretty obvious you really don't know what you are doing here. Before spending any more $$$ on what you "think", you might want to do a lot of research. Just trying to save you time/money.

I think your confusing the fact you can use the 7M GTE electronics on a 2JZ GE with the misconception that a 2JZ head will mate to a 7M block.

i looked over everything prior this will be the 4th motor i have build alone and as far as the 2jz head like i mentioned eairler it was an idea not something that will 100% be tested

as far as the specs for a stock GTE
* Displacement: 2954 cc (180.2 cu in)
* Bore: 83.00 mm (3.27 in)
* Stroke: 91.00 mm (3.58 in)
* Compression Ratio: 8.4:1
* Weight: 119.5 kg (440 lb)
good to always reference source information in case during a project someone wants to try some q&a

so thank you jdub i will continue to handle my build slowly and thoroughly to make sure nothing is overlooked

for the cyl head its getting cnc machined ported polished and flowed out for bigger valves..
the cams are BC
cam gears AEM
CP pistons
forged connecting rods
etc

so again before your quick to jump take a second look thanks

My comments were based on previous posts...that were a bit difficult to read/follow.

Good luck.

thank you if your curious my first motor was a B16 from a 97 civic SI into a 93 Hyundai elantra not to much motor work on the first one considering i was only 15.. i did cam gears intake exhaust and chipped pretty basic to break newbie blood second was a 89 s13 240 sx with a swapped out ka-e for an Sr-20det which i did some head work broadened my horizons a bit more at 17 then i stopped till i was 21 when i built an AWD 390WHP 1.8t jetta[bora] that i went all out 20K on parts and machine work now at 23 I'm going supra first 7M ever things tend to get a bit confusing when going from place to place finding your niche but Supra's feel like home to me.. :) so thank you on wishing me luck and ill continue to post on here as if this were my journal :-D
