Recently I picked up an 88 MR2 N/A to get me around until my Supra is done. I've never had so much fun driving a car as I have while driving my MR2. Here's a pic of when I got it:

Its a 5-speed and has the big-port 7-rib 4a-ge in it. Ran when i got it. Only problems is 2nd gear grinds a bit. Shortly thereafter I found out that it was in a pretty bad rear-ending at one point. Still drives straight and everything. Once I find a 2nd MR2 (preferably SC) i'm going to make this a road-going track car.

For now its just going to stay stock 4age with the exception of an intake and exhaust I foresee in it's near future.

Anyone else on here have experiences with MR2's?

I have an MR2 as well.

 I couldn't even tell you the year of it, lol.

I know it's an 87 or 88, but I can't recall which one. That is truly sad.

Anyways, its a fun little car. Drives like a go kart. Not nearly fast enough to keep me interested in it long term though... It will likely be swapped for a turbo Supra in the near future... :)

I love mine as well. I have an 87 that I just finished a SC swap in it. My car has already made another supra owner get one after I had him drive mine home when I bought it.
FUN little car with out a doubt

I love that the MK3 and the AW11 match. Thats so cool. I don't think my Supra and my MR2 are going to match when i'm done.

Yeah they're so much fun to drive. I love it. In the past few months my friend sold his Honda Prelude (cleeeeeeaaaaan!) for an SW20 (even cleaner!), my other friend had his Honda Civic stolen, got an 87 MK3 N/A Auto project, and now my other friend who is all into American cars is hunting down an MK3 to own.

I'm happy that everyone is converting over. haha
