Hey! I am new to the site. I've had a crush on the MK3 supra for as long as I can remember and can say that I am proud to own one! It is currently not running at the moment due to a thrown rod. Perhaps that is why I picked up the car for $150! I did buy another 7M from a friend of mine and I am planning on rebuilding it soon! Here are some pics:

The day I brought the car home:

And now the new motor:

The downpipe (impulse buy):

I will be posting more pictures once I tear down the motor and have it rebuilt!

Wow, people tend to use the statement "thrown rod" a little loosely, but you weren't kidding!
Reminds me of the catastrophic engine death that I experienced while driving my 85 s-10 2.8v6 to work one day. It was like the block said "All right, everyone OUT!"

Good job rescuing it! I've always wanted a white pkg mk3 :bigthumb:

Haha! Yeah, the previous owner said that he had just rebuilt the motor too! I felt kind of bad for the guy..... Wait, no I didn't! I got the score of a lifetime because of this mistake! Anyways, when we loaded the car onto our trailer, it dumped a lot of oil all down his driveway. Such a nice parting gift I must say!

Oh! I have a question for whoever looks at this thread. Where can I get an aluminum radiator set up for an A/T Supra Turbo? And yes, I will probably be asking a million questions on here considering that this is my first MA70 that I have ever worked on.....

No worries. Other places I check for parts are Driftmotion.com and horsepowerfreaks.com If you're looking for OEM replacement parts, RockAuto.com has a pretty good list, but I've never actually bought anything from them. I would check the part-out threads here before buying OEM somewhere, unless you are sure you want/need a brand new one.

Thanks! The interior of the car is in decent condition. I will post pics of the interior later when I get some time. Now about the downpipe. I did notice that there was a fitment issue that I ran in to when I test fitted it to an old CT-26 that I had laying around. Do you know of any ways that this could be corrected? And yes, it does have the divider plate.

Wow, you got one hell of a deal sir! Just read this entire thread and didn't see anything about head studs, are you using or plan to use ARP's?

I never saw an outdoor lift haha, is that at a shop or something?
