Mounting Engine on Stand

Hey guys, I removed the engine during the weekend and now taken most of the stuff off and it's ready to get put on an engine stand but do you mount it in the front or the rear? What size bolt do I need to mount the engine, the one i have for the engine before this might be different since it's a honda engine.

10x1.25x How ever long your stands posts are + 1"/25mm.

So it's rear mount then, thanks guys. Do I need to remove the rear plate first or after?

Tin plate or the rear seal mount?

I would say the rear seal, the one that cover up the Crank Shaft where the flywheel is bolted to.

Pull em both off before it goes on the stand

How long was the bolt you use for the engine mount? Homedepot has them up to 80mm, Orchard Suply has them at 100 and 110. Should I go for the 100 or is that too long, I don't think they have 90.

Grab a rule and measure the stand then add an inch.

lol, well if i followed that rule the stick come out to be 10x1.25x95 or some odd number lol

so 100mm or 4" long would do it
