I've searched, but didnt find to much.

Car: 88 turbo
Situation: broken drivers side motor mount
Problem: dont have an engine hoist
Solution?: have a big ass craftsment jack +2X4's

Nobody ever said if it was completely possible to do it without a hoist. Has anyone done this first hand and knows exactly how to do it/what needs to be unbolted. I'm just trying to prepare ahead of time because I'll be working in a cold, unheated, open doored garage and dont want to be out there to long freezing underneath the car. Thank you!

I don't see why the motor would have to be completely out, I think it could be done with a jack. depending how high you can lift the engine with the jack it might not be easy to reach down to the motor mount with the intake in your way, but should be doable.

Make sure the engine is well supported so that it can't tip or fall on you with your arms down in there. Maybe break all the big bolts loose before you lift it if that's possible.
