Hey all, I need to know if a MKIV shifter arm assembly will fit a R154 MKIII manual tranny. I found out the previous owner did a hack-job short shift, and basically its about to break. I know about the one I can get from HPF for 300 bucks, but I found a much cheaper MKIV assembly. I just need to know if it will work. thanks.

I believe the non-turbo mkiv shifter will work, but the shifter from a getrag WILL NOT.

Anyone else?

Why not get another mkiii one stock is dirt cheap and you can do the sogi SS mod very easy.

My bad, I ment that the non-turbo SS could be modes to fit, not direct fit.... I think you need and extra trans hat or other home made spacer, same as IS300 SS on mkiii

if you have a R154 gearbox then the shifter goes directly down into the gearbox without any linkage. In other words, no shifter linkage will fit.
Which MKIV gearbox are you talking about?

Mk4 came with w58 with a differnt extension housing and v160 which will not work. So no..

You need a mk3 5 speed shifter. Post in the wtb there usually going for cheap around here.
