From what I've seen they hold up pretty good. Even better than some of the newer "balloon clown cars" that you see around.

I still say what a joke. They could have simply come up with a user friendly 4 point harness and made the body & chassis stronger. NOOOOO lets make the insides of the car inflatable and the car itself a throw away.

Be ok if each bag wasn't $1500 to replace!

lets see my car was t-boned by a chevelet cavilier and i just needed to replace a rim and pull the dent out of my driver's side quarter panel and new molding. while the chevelet needed a new front end and windsheild. 3 months later i went street drifting and understeered into a curb 60mph. bent my subframe and control arm but was able to get away before the cops came. im sure the supra is a very strong car, and thats why its so freakin heavy.
My experience, Supras are very good in crashes. Not only do you walk away from them, many times the Supra can drive away too.
I had a Holden Commodore rear end me trashed the front of the Commodore and scratched one of the bumper pinstripes off on the Supra!
It was a big hit but he got me in the trailer hitch!

there's a guy around here driving one that's been into more curbs, poles, and cars than i can count...and all he has to show for it is a scratched up front bumper, a few dents (he's pulled the bigger ones), and no driver side trim. I'm sure he's totalled at least one minivan, and crippled several other cars.

LOL we drive missles they should have sent a bunch of supras to iraq to instead of tanks we would saved alot of money we could also have M16s sticking out of the targa top j/k
No way an FD rx7 suffers less than a supra of any year in a crash.

i know that i went through a ditch hit an electrical pole guide wire went back over the ditch and on to the road(no supra damage at that point) then my rear pass tire blew out i spun went through several 2X2 mail box posts then through a wooden fence also had 2X2 posts and 1X4 cross beams all the supra suffered was needing a new pass fender, dent pulled on the pass quarter panel and some paint the property repairs cost more than the car repairs.
I used to have an 1985 rx7, and i was scared to drive it. That thing was tiny! me and my friend could pick the front clear off the ground!

I'm stopped over a hill at a red light and a jetta slams into my back end at close to 60mph i think he said he was doing like 50 but he was haulin ass. well he hit my rear passenger quarter panel/bumper and scuffed the trim. i see his side of the car and its GONE, it pushed everything in, i got paint knocked off my bumper and scuffed trim and no dents, better yet, the damn reflector on the trim wasnt even damaged, Our cars are tanks.

ya up side to the rx7's is they rev to like 11,000rpms.. my ex had one and i liked to beat on it. she beat on me so it all evened out..but ya scary, ok back on topic...
Yeah mike90t pulled out of a alley one time and a saturn hit the front of the car.
It pushed the dog house of the mk3 over like 2 feet, but IT CUT THE SATURN LITTERALLY IN HALF. He said the guy was looking at the interior and the GROUND.
