I just noticed that the 88 wing, has a bigger hump on the front of the bottom and then curves up and gets slightly thinner toward the end. Like the bottom of a wing?.. anyhow.. Swapped the hatch and that's my observation.

I think that when it comes to drag at high speeds, the low frontal area of our cars more than offsets the increase in cd compared to newer cars that have a huge frontal area (to reduce pedestrian injuries).

The nose in that picture isn't lifted up 2"... maybe 0.5". Still surprising though.
