I have a 1987 7M-GE Auto and I going to rebuild the engine with new internals and any kind of refresh that I have to do to it. Machined Block, Resurfaced head and polished crank, etc. I owned the car since August 2021 and since then just been doing research on where to buy new parts. They still sell factory pistons from toyota parts website, rings and bearings are pretty easy to find. Just looking for new connecting rods, and the only connecting rods I found are from eagle rods that are forged. But, the only down fall is that they are for the 7M-GTE as displayed on driftmotion.com and eagle rods website. I did some more research and from toyota parts websites and the 7M-GE and 7M-GTE have the exact same part number for connecting rods meaning they use the same connecting rods. Has anyone on here ever used forged connecting rods from eagle on a 7M-GE? or Can anyone confirm that I can use eagle rods meant for 7M-GTE on a 7M-GE?
