Does anybody have any dyno numbers or 1/4 mile times form using this turbo?
What are the pros and cons of using this on a 7mgte?

the greddy 20g upgrade for the 7m is based on the mitsu 20g platform, isnt it. greddy says its good for 450hp.

TDO6H-20G-14CM2 650 CFM
TDO7S-25G-17CM2 850 CFM

TDO5H-16G-10CM2 505 CFM (i cant remember if this is the big 16g or small 16g)

so 20g should get you to 400hp, I know DSM's use them alot but are pretty laggy for the 4g63 but you can rev the crap out of 4g motors so its a balancing act for them. 20g would be an expensive upgrade for not that much more power(saw a greddy 20g sport upgrade for 2k US dollars). A 57trim would be pretty close in comparison power wise and would cost alot less. I thought someone made a 25g upgrade... maybe hks???

EDIT: Figgie beat me.

Thanks for all the replies. The 57 trim would definately be my 1st choice but I was just alittle curious about this turbo.

I bought a used one that was just setting for sale in the classifieds for awile. The reason I picked it up was the price was right and I talked to Duane and he said that he made 500rwhp with the greddy tdo6sh-20g.

had to be 500hp on nitrous. those 20g dont offer much "bang for the buck" in my opinion. if ur lookin for a bolt on upgrade check out the turbonetics upgrades. i had a 60-1 hifi and was pretty impressed with it. cheap too

TD05h-16G-10cm is the evo big 16g, 20g are good for about 400hp & that's pushing them, I had one of those in my galant vr4 & it wasn't laggy at all.

Would the 20g bolt on easily or is there some kind of modification to be done?

depends if u have the exhaust manifold adapter.

i had read some where the greddy tdo6 20g was good for at least 480hp. i actually have one which i had on my 87t before. its currently sitting wrapped in bubble wrap in a box and i am debating about putting it back on or going w/something else. b/f bought it for me as a gift. one of the best presents i ever got. felt sweet...lag wasn't bad.

duane actually ran that turbo. i did also :)

good turbo, the price is high new though.

Grant(oneandgone) also ran this turbo. He dynoed 420 something cant remember exact on 16psi with his 7mgte.... where he had it tuned said It should put down 500 on 20psi I rode in the car a few times the turbo had great spool time... Great turbo IMO...

very easy

they make a direct bolt on td06(20g) turbo kit for the 7mgte that includes turbo and all hardware to bolt directly to stock downpipe and exhaust manifold

http://www.suprastore.com/gredtdsintur.html

this is just one of a few places that sell the kit.....

yeah its pushing it for 400 hp in a vr4 galant, but ive seen over 400 horsepower more than once off it in a supra like I said above one guy hit 420 something on 16psi.... with a tdo6 on a 7mgte... and I hardly think 16 psi is pushing one considering several push them 20psi+ in the evo's with this turbo..

also being said... I rather have the sp61gt turbo its a direct bolt on too.... and cheaper with more hp capability but you cant go wrong with a td06 if your looking for a quick spooling turbo that can produce 450 to 500 depending on your setup...

TD05 & TD06 exhaust wheels are different, The TD05 wheel is for quick spool up & The TD06 is for larger exhaust volume, In a 4 banger the TD06 will be a lil more laggier, I ran a TD05 20g & made about 360hp at 18psi.... not too bad for a 164k stock mitsu motor...

I never said that you could not get good hp out of a mitsu motor.... I was just stating how much hp and at what boost you could get out of a tdo6... it was said that 400hp was pushing it and I just wanted to let anyone know that is thinking about buying this kit that you can get over 400 hp without hitting max boost on the tdo6...... even hit 500rwhp if you have the right setup and tune on the car...

I know you never said i couldn't make power on a mitsu, I still don't know why you brought it up, I only said i made certain amount of power with a TD05 20G & said the TD06 & TD05 exhaust wheels are different in those turbos & it's what makes a difference in power, Yes if i had a 7mgte I probably rock a TD0620G, I have seen a few peep with that turbo & they move pretty quick.:icon_bigg
