OKay For awhile Now I've been trying to fine tune my engine and something new has come up lately. I recently had an oil leak that I fixed (turns out my Cam seals didn't seal correctly so 8$ later and some FIPG no leak) so after putting everything together I've been trying to fix my timing. Okay got that, So I go out today to start it up and It would crank forever. however with in the first 2-3 seconds of cranking, It sounded like the engine had resistance of some sort, then it would continue cranking fine. Tried this for awhile no beans. Also Every so often (very erraticly but not very frequently) there would be the sound of like compressed air being let out of a hose. Okay so I advanced my timing a little using the CPS and it fired up after about 2-3 tries. IT idles REALLY rough, and sounded like it was missing. I had my timing light on the #1 plug and it was flashing, however when I pulled the wire off the #1 plug it kept running the SAME, so my guess is, it is the #1 cylinder, I pulled the plug, looked normal, black soot on it, a little wet from all the cranking. I Started the engine again w/o the plug in. and ran the same, held the plug to ground and I'm getting spark. What else was weird thats bothering me is w/ the plug held in the air so it won't ark. I was still getting light from my timing gun. anyway. THe plug was wet so I"m guessing the injectors are firing and compression is fine at 150 PSI. So any thoughts on this issue? I haven't troubleshot to much. I wake up everyday at 3am and by the time i get home about 4pm I'm tired as hell, This was my first day that i had enough energy to go out and check on it. BTW I'm running a COP ignition as outlined from "Tooks" thread. And I've had a smooth idle before this as well. So I know it worked at one point.

EDIT: BTw the PLugs are NGK bkr7e from Driftmotion, and all are gapped at .26

EDIT 2: After pulling the plugs to check spark/compression, I cleaned them all re-inserted and It fired up. I'm guessing they were just soaked from all the cranking before hand.

MOD: Please delete this thread if th ere are no further entries thankyou.
