Mines ECU?

I've seen people mention our ECU's can't be flashed but you can get a Mines ECU for our mk3, if these do exist how much do they run? do they work on auto 7m-gte powered mk3's? and will they make significant gains in accelaration, or HP?

Wow, I don't know how I didn't see this.
Yes there are Mine's ECUs for our cars. One for 87-88 and one for 89+. (I have one for 87 manual) They are a moded stock ECU with a daughter board added. The daughter board is programmable, Usually they have removed the rev/speed limiter, removed fuel cut (spark cut), changed the timing curve and mapped for more fuel. 89+ ones pop up for sale from time to time, but the one I have is the only one I've seen for pre 89.

Yes, you have to have it tuned or if running a piggy back, tune with the more agressive ECU maps. I'm wanting to run a MAFT pro, so I'm having to make up my mind if I want to do it with the stock ECU or the Mine's.
