Well, I take that back. Lab reports. You will write a shit ton of these, but ...at least in my classes, you just had to write a description of the lab (like 1 sentence)...talk about what you used during the lab. And then the bulk of the report is the math behind the lab, tables and diagrams. And then a summary, which is probably the most amount of writting...but it's all "hmmm...what can I BS today?"

What kind of engineering are you thinking about?

Here's a little math fun:

Three men go to stay at a motel, and the man at the desk charges them $30.00 for a room. They split the cost ten dollars each. Later the manager tells the desk man that he overcharged the men, that the actual cost should have been $25.00. The manager gives the bellboy $5.00 and tells him to give it to the men.

The bellboy, however, decides to cheat the men and pockets $2.00, giving each of the men only one dollar.

Now each man has paid $9.00 to stay in the room and 3 x $9.00 = $27.00. The bellboy has pocketed $2.00. $27.00 + $2.00 = $29.00 - so where is the missing $1.00?

Answer will be given later! And if you've seen this before you're not allowed to answer!

Yeah same here. I had a website a few years ago that had some of the hardest thinking questions from 100 years ago on it. I wish I could find it.

Okay, I haven't seen it before, but the 3 men overpaid by 2 dollars, so 27-25 = 2, which the bellhop pocketed. The $30 is a red herring. Where's my prize? :biglaugh:

By the way, I took lots of math, got a bunch of degrees, and now the most math I use goes something like this... It take 90 manhours at $55/hour to do task X, overhead is 400%, so I need a budget of $20k to do this... why did I even bother going to school!

Enjoy the engineering while you can, pretty soon you become a manager...
