Maft gen 2

Im in the process of collecting parts and info for my 1j vvti swap and of course its maf based. A friend is sellig a maft gen 2 and my main question is, will running the maftgen2 on the stock 1j vvti with basically 3inch dp back to exhaust, filter and intake, ic and hardpipe, walbro or denso mkiv pump and wideband and few other parts be worth it? Will it do any good besides that i wont need the maf intake anymore which ill likely be venting the bov.

The 1JZ VVT-I is a AFM based setup? Aren't all JZ's that are from the JDM market MAP based?

No. I thoght it was map but found out it was maf so thats why i wanted to go around that and still be safe and boosting roughly 15psi lol
