Ok just got my Mac adapter plate and and cold air intake installed and my Mac sensor looks like it's taken a bath in oil and dirt. I'm a carb guy normally so this may sound kind or noobish, what's good for cleaning these things? Also what's a good catch can to keep the oil from blowing in there in the future? Also since I have an 87 I only have one more inspection until I can remove emissions equipment, what all vacuum hoses and such can I rip out after that time? It seems like there are 10 billion of the things and I want a cleaner looking motor bay

Attempting to clean a Karman Vortex AFM, is a common mistake and always results in a sensor that is no longer functional. You can remove the electronics and clean the housing, but dont let any products get on the sensor itself.

What emissions components are you thinking about removing? And what are you going to do about what it was originally designed for?

This isn't a POS Cavalier. Go use some carb cleaner if you want. We told you not to. When you do screw up your AFM, let me know, I have another one I'm trying to sell ;)

Hey now lol I loved my cavi lol anyways I'm gonna stay away from chemicals near sensors in this car I'll probably just wipe it clean as far as redoing the vacuum routing is there anyone that's one there's nicer than stock while keeping all the functionality? I don't mind the emissions stuff it just looks so cluttered
