Made a couple of 1/4 mile runs last night.

Went to the track with my street tires, because I got off too late and had to bleed the clutch before I went. It was finally a little cooler out side about 85. The track wasn't prepped at all. Normally I can get better 60' times on street tires, but all I could muster up were 2.2's. The best run that I had was:

60'----2.212
330'---5.887
1/8----8.893
MPH---83.97
1000--11.420
1/4----13.540
MPH---106.95

On this run I pretty much spun all the way through 1st and almost all the way through 2nd. This was with 19psi, on 93 octane and full interior plus some. All in all it was a fun night. Next time out I'll have my ET streets on with some race gas and a better tune.

It's a bolt on 60-1 turbo. I just couldn't get traction, however I'll have my ET streets soon and some race gas and I should be good for some mid to low 12's.

I just found out that I have a crack in the IC and that is why It's having problems. I thought it felt a little sluggish the other night, now I just need to get that fixed.

I have a K&n intake on my supra and 3 inch HKS downpipe sized down to open 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back.... Im running a solid 8 psi of boost with no other mods "yet :)" I run 93 octane and my question is does the 110 octane race gas make a difference just by running it or do you need to tune to see a diff. ??

If you are running 8 psi of boost from a CT26 turbo, on a stock 8.4:1 compression 7M, I'd say you're wasting time and money putting 110 in.

Umm yea that answers my question alot...

No you wont see any power by just putting it in your car.

And it would be a HUGE waste of money to put race gas in a car at 8psi even if you did have the capability to advance the timing more. Spend your money on other things.

You are not running cylinder pressures that would necessitate 110. Stick to 93. You wouldn't notice a difference anyways, hence why he said it would be a waste of money. Also, please don't ask questions that aren't related to the original post in someone else's thread. Please start your own.

Anyways Frontier, good luck on lowering the 60's down and getting the tune right. I definitely see 12s in your future.

All I need is to run with some good tires and I'll be set for sure.

Got Turbos and I ran against each other, and had a blast!! How many times can you say you saw 2 MK3's running each other at the local track not at a meet!!! It was a fun night I just wish I could've gotten there a little earlier.

Yeah I wish I had a higher redline! I was switching to 4th gear about 150 feet before the end of the track. I need to get a standalone or just get some higher gears than the 3.73's that I have now.
