I am just impressed by the 5mge. My 84 supra that i got for 200 dollars, that burns oil, leaks oil, leaks coolant, leaks gas, and leaks p/s fluid...

So often when im driving ill look at my temp gauge and be like "DAMN, its max pegged in the red". It only over heats when i have ANY weight in the car besides my own body. Like i just had an air compressor in thats about 50 pounds and it overheated again lol. Dunno why with weight it does that.

Probably 10 times its been pegged, and it still pulls hard as hell, still drives, still has 160psi compression. I don't know what the 7m's deal is.

------

On a side note, i also noticed that only when the motor is red hot, then water literally poors out of the engine from somewhere. I can have a hose straight in the radiator top, and it wont fill up at all. If i look under the car i can see water draining out from where it appears to be the water pump? Right behind the stock fan.

But when its normal temp its fine and retains most of the water...any reason why?

Since its still an M series, i dont see why the head studs would be torqued any differently

Not sure about the other M series engines, but you may want to find that out to see if the head bolts are torqued the same on each one (doubt it because the heads themselves are of different designs). Oh, and that snail thingy on the side of the 7M tends to hasten the BHG along if the bolts aren't retorqued ;).

hahaha 3 rods shot out of the block and the bitch still ran.

I can guarantee that if I were to hook up a starter to my blown 5M, she'd start fine too, loud as hell, but would run.

5Ms are great, but won't last forever if you overheat them constantly. that's how mine ended up blown

LOL, I seen that video! That was insane! The has to be the most persistent running engine I've ever seen, how many other engines do you know of that can run on half of it cylinders and the other half blown?
