Doesnt make sence to me, if you didnt have a registration or plates how would they identify a speeding car? getaway car?

as far as i kno (and i could be wrong) you have to register the car, it has to have some form of inspection, and has to have some form of license plate to be legal to drive on a public road.

why dont you want to register/inspect your car?

this is all from what i kno about New York so maybe its diffrent where you live.

Your car HAS to be registered to drive legally in the States. No if's, and's, or but's about it. All the manufacturer's statement of origin is, is just statement saying that the car was built by a certain manufacter at a certain location. Mainly it's for custom's and/or initial registration purposes iirc.

If it is you're property... why do you have to register it? Do you register you're bike if you use it on the road? no.. the road is public! So why do you have to register you're car. Please don't tell me just "because you have to", tell me WHY.

Manufacturers statement of origin is "like" a recipe... you get one when you buy something from the store proving that you bought it and thus paid for it and have ownership.

The dealers give that peace of paper to the state and they get back a Certificate... of a title, so you only have possession Not ownership. Thats why you have to register you're car. I'm not stupid.. i will register it and so forth along with getting my license, because it the states car.

Because Federal law states that any *moving vehicle* that wants to use the public roadway system must have some form of registration and insurance. A lot of states wont even grant you registration unless you have the proper insurance. That's just how it is... Don't like it, take it up with your congressman. And no an MSO sticker will not trump over emissions. You have to pass emissions( depending on if your locale requires it or not). There really isnt any getting around that, unless you are in good with some corrupt emissions referee's.

*NOTE: By moving vehicle I meant something with a internal combustion engine. Not your Schwinn bicycle!!

most states classify the types of moving apparatuses that must be registered. they consist of any apparatus designed for carrying 1 or more passengers, and that are powered by an engine of 50cc or more.
(at least thats what it is in nevada) also, they say that it is illegal to operate an unregistered vehicle on public roads

that explains why almost all big dirtbikes here are NOT street legal, and a regular bike or skateboard is.

Why do you need a gun license? weren't they just for blacks after the civil war? and a marriage license? i don't have to ask to get married... blacks did because blacks were considered animals with no rights.

If you ask for it.. you will get it. And yes, there are people with allodiad titles on there cars.

So... why do i need a drivers license if i own my car with a Allodial title http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allodial_title witch i don't have, so I do have to have a license and a registration. This is all that legal mumbo jumbo that makes it possible for plates and stickers and so on.

And there is no way i will ever get my m.s.o. with the bill of sale, you will have to get it before its given to the state.

Allodial titles are rare, even in the case of land. Texes is the only state that you can own you're land fully, thats why you don't pay property taxes in the most part of Texes.

Position is 9-10th's of the law... you put you're car on the road, its not you're car anymore. Thats why you can drive you're car spilling gas if you wish off road and don't have to get plates, stickers, a license, or pass emissions.

I never said you don't have to get plates, YOU DO! as well as a license and so on as long as you're on the states (public) road and you don't have the full ownership.

its still your car when you put it on the road, you even have an official statement from your local government, stating you own it. you can drive you car spilling gas off road because theres no law in "off road" conditions. if your riding a quad around in some local trails and its not running right. if there were emissions it would fail, is there anyone there to say anything? if your tires are bald and exhaust too loud anyone there to give you a ticket? "off road" is outside the law and usually illegal.
