So I'm not given the axe (at least immediately...) here's my intro thread.

I purchased a '89 Turbo auto sport roof (Super White/Blue Leather) a couple years ago as a daily driver. With easy access to a mechanic for anything that went wrong, I putted around during that time in order to get my feet wet in the Supra scene.

When the trans started to slip and head downhill, with registration and insurance coming due, I decided to give the car to my mechanic in exchange for labor down the road.

I took delivery of a '93.5 Baltic Blue TT 6spd the weekend before last, so I'm still around on the forums from time to time as a lurker helping my friends with their MKIII issues. I'm the same name across every forum I go to, so there's a good chance it's me.

I copied these pics off another thread - mods feel free to edit them if you like.

I love love love Baltic Blue. Welcome to Supramania. One thing though, I can't for the life of me figure out how you came up with your screen name.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm having some work done so the MKIV is in the shop for two weeks. I drove it back from Phoenix, AZ to Ventura, CA at midnight and got home at 6:30am. The buzz still hasn't wore off.

So, about my nickname. Well, I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany in the Air Force and that was my first experience on the Autobahn. I instantly became hooked and my interest in cars skyrocketed after that.

When I was sent to RAF Midenhall, I stumbled upon a '74 Jaguar XJ12L with 38k original miles and I had to have it. That was the first car I bought on my own.

When my enlistment was up, the California smog laws and the 25 year exemption was being revised, so I was in limbo and couldn't get it registered until the new law took effect which was 6 or 7 months later. I really needed a daily driver, was hurting for cash, so I sold the '74 and bought a '97 XJ6 which morphed into my first screen name.

Having always kicked myself for not going after the Supercharged cars, I found one of the ultra rare '95 only Turquoise XJR models for sale and ditched the XJ6 after 110k of trouble free miles. The XJR is a keeper, as is the MKIV. The next car to add to the stable in a couple years will be a Lotus Esprit V8, 993tt or 355 Spider. Not sure yet.
