i hate the fact that my lc-1 will only data log the air/fule and not the rpm. So after some looking i found this http://www.dataq.com/194.htmthey also make a nicer 8 channel version with usd so anyway what do you guys think? all i want to do is log afr, rpm, boost and iat is it worth getting of should i just bite the bullet and by the innovative aux box?

well since no one has ever tried out a dataq datalogger on the board i went ahead and bought the 50$ 8 channel logger (i did manage to find a vet owner who is running one)so i guess it can be done so the basic plan is to log my
RPM-i'll buy a cheap tach driver Any one know the voltage on the stock tack?
AFR-my lc-1 will take care of this
IAT-i think i'm just going to install a gm unit mice 0-5 volts
boost-I'm just going to install a gm map sensor
temp- since the logger logs 0-10 volts i beleave i'll just tap the stock sensor
i can't think of any more sensors off the top of my head but if this works it'll leave me 3 more channels to play with

I would have the Dataq log AFR also so graphing for reading will be easier. Its to hard (almost impossible) to correctly read different inputs that are on different graphs. The only way to do it is if both graphs have matching time scales..... Not worth the hassle when you have additional inputs that can be used.....

using the stock temp sensor is fessable, but you are going to need a temp / voltage scale so you know what the temp really is insted of just a voltage.

hey man really interested on how this works out, i feel the same way about my LC-1 (love it but RPM logging would be nice) maybe even a how-to for the setup (especially passing the LC-1 through it)

one thing that I just remembered that probably would have made things a little easier. I know that you already bought the Dataq unit, just to let you know, you wouldn't have had to buy an AUX BOX form Innovate. Thier SSI-4 unit would have done exactly what you were looking for and it only runs about $130.....

i already knew about the ssi-4 box they sell but that wasn't the point of this project what i'm trying to do is find a low budget way that maybe other people can copy on there setups. I went all out and bought the 50 dollar usb dataq but if i can get the nicer version working it shouldn't be hard to just buy the 25$ version and let it do the same thing with less channels its the same data logger just missing 4 channels and doesn't have a usbport
