Lost car key

Ok I lost my key, I have been reading through a few threads and I heard I can get the key made for the code on the passenger side lock. Will I have to have a title to my car with this code or can I just get the key made?

I called a locksmith and he told me 120 for the key, 40 for calling him and 40 to run the code on the passenger door, I only have like 60 bucks!

All you need is the code.
I would recommend taking the lock cylinder out and taking it to the dealership with you, and testing the key after they make it. It took about 10 min. to make 2 seperate keys last time I did this.

Easiest way is to show up at the dealership with your title and $20, and you'll have a new Toyota key!

I just bought the car so its not in my name yet until tomorrow. I took out the passenger lock and brought it to the dealership, $8.63 for a new key!!! The stupid locksmith told me 160 bucks, what a rip off

lol I think I did get it from your thread. I was expecting like 50 buck from toyota, I even brought extra money. He said "8.63", I said "EIGHT HUNDRED AND SIXTY THREE DOLLARS???" and he laughed
