hi everyone I have recently done a na to turbo swap in my car and I've been driving around my neighborhood and there is a loss of acceleration for somereason almost like it's out of time or something I checked the plug wires to make sure there in the correct order is there anything else it could be and if it is out of time do I have to take the cps out

Could have installed the cps and it being off a tooth. Did this just happen or has it been lacking power ever since the swap?
It has been lacking ever since the swap so I didn't put the cps in it and the only code I have is the knock sensor

aaaaa yeah, that puts your car in "safe mode" adding fuel and taking timing, making you run with less power.

its prob your wiring. but my KS actually went bad when i had the same problem.
do a search and youll find some good info.

I'm pretty sure it's the knock sensor because when I took it off it was missing the plug part of it and just wondering how the 7mgte has 2 knock sensors and the 7mge only has 1 thanks

there the same, i have a turbo one on my N/A.

little different block the GTE has two, both on the same side, i guess they(toyota) wanted to watch the turbo model more carefully, the N/A not as much to be concerned about

So you think this is the reason the car has been acting like this so when a knock sensor goes bad/broken you'll lose a considerable amount of power and the car will act as if it's out of time I hope the knock senor is the culprate because I can change that with know problem I just have to run up to pull a part and get one thanks alot for the info it's been really helpfull

man I really hope the knock sensor is what it is because when I floor the pedal the car jerks as if it's missing a cylinder or 2 or something the original na motor in the car did the same thing but the only difference was that it was a backwards spark plug I guess I'll see what happens when I finnd a knock sensor thanks

running really rich will do that. it will feel like it stumbles and accelerates really slowly. the cars adding a lot of fuel and pulling timing, making it way worse.

when mine went bad it was right after a rebuild and really sucked because i had high hopes for the "new" power. When i replaced it, night and day difference. i took it out for a test drive and it had just rained a few hours before, so it was still a little wet. i was surprised to say the least. went easy on it in first, easy into second, mid second started to get on it and just lit up the tires, ok, sweet. put it in third, just more spinning:naughty: my car had never done that before.
get that fixed!! youll be happy you did.

but make sure your wiring isn't bad too, thats also known to go bad.
good luck!
