I am considering buying a 86 non-turbo, how much horsepower did they put out? I have always loved the supra but never owned one. The paint is good shape, interior good, mechanically good, what is a fair price?
I would appreciate the imput.
Thanks

They put out about 200hp at the crank when new (so 21 years of wear and tear will definately lower that number) and about 186 for torque, again at the crank...

If you are looking for a daily driver the supra might not be a good choice unless you have a place to be able to work on it,the money, and the knowledge to fix it whenever something happens (and it will happen).

To vague my friend.

You need to post pics, mileage, any thing wrong with it etc etc etc.

Don't look for the NA to be a wild stallion...
100,000miles no pics supposedly the body is in very good shape, the paint somewhat glossy, no dents only a few small scratches, and interior is ok for a 21year old car. The owner says the car is ready to go nothing needs to be done at this point. I go to see it tomorrow. I am only considering it because of the price and location is only 60miles away. I thought I could turbo it but I don't know if that is a good idea for a non-turbo car.

What are your looking for?

cruiser, speed, something to wreck?

It all depends on what you are looking to get into.

NAs are really only good for comfortable cruising. So keep that in mind

Silversup - My NA is good for having some fun in the twisty mountain roads... it's no race machine by any means but still isn't "slow"... just not fast. heh

jumpinjackflash - Just sharing what most of us have found out the hard way.
