And that was good advice!

BTW - when we gave out call signs in my previous life to guys that had not "earned" one...it was usually "Wedge". The simplest tool ;)

well i thought i'd put all the valves in, put the springs in with the bottom retainers that are already on the springs because of their tight fit, and just hand them that and a box of keepers/retainers. all they'd have to do is work their magic tool. no?
question: do the keepers and top retainers have to be in order? i have them in order already, but im just thinkin of how to store it during my transport.

Blocks of wood (2x2) with thick cardboard on top...you don't want any chance of the weight of the head resting on the valves.

so i went to this machine shop. it was very chill there. you know, older guys workin' on domestic things, and it was much like a big house with extensions. so anyway the guy was real cool there, he did it right away and he even let me try a couple with the machine he was workin it. he charged 30 bucks and i didnt have it, expecting to have to come back tommorrow, so he was like just pay me later, hah. then the guy even gave me a tour of the whole place.
man, that just shoves it in my face that i should of done this a while ago.
