i got a question about the body throttle. my engine idle is around 650-800rpm (is it normal idle?) and i remember there's a little screw against the body throttle trigger. i did tweak the screw abit till idle reach 1000rpm. then i drove the car around later discovering a high water temp rise. then i later tweak back to 650rpm.. does the body throttle affect the ecu to turn "limp home mode"?

if you tweak the screw it should only affect rpm rise cuz its just like you have your foot on the throttle very little.

i wouldnt touch it too much though...if you are relying on it for idle you are having issues else where.

i think the 1jz suppose to idle at 650-700rpm

Is this a test? Is this a moderator with a new name?

body throttle = throttle body

To reset the codes, all you do is remove the EFI fuse in the fuse box.
