I've never owned a lex so I don't know for sure about external differences but I think if there are any, they are minor. Someone else could chime in for that.
If you feel like it, you can pull yours out and and see what it is. Both the Lex and stock AFM are shown in that pic...
i believe the only difference besides size is the different shape of the air bypass as stated before. the are generally marked and unless you have a stocker and a lex, youll have to cross refernce the part numbers.
Yes. The stock ECU has its airflow map based on a set AFM size. If you change the AFM size the ECU has no way of knowing. Larger AFM, basically changes the A/F ratio as you're getting more air for the same fuel, as a side effect your FCO is raised. The change in A/F ratio is the reason you need to run 550cc injectors with the Lexus, or modify your A/F ratios through other means such as piggyback A/F computer, AFPR, etc.
