Left brake light issue

One out of the two bulbs in my left tail light does not turn on when I hit the brake pedal. I tried changing this bulb with a new one but that did not help. I also checked the fuses located under the hood and kick panel. My tail light thing on the dash goes off too, immediately after I hit the brake pedal. It's such a eyesore.

i have a similar problem with BOTH of my right stoplights, they work when i'm just sitting there, but when i brake both just go out :\ i hate it

Thats exactly the problem I have, it works fine when I'm sitting there with all my lights on but when I hit the brakes the one bulb turns off. Its BullCrap!

Check ur wiring..

Or if ur taillight failure box failed

Also check for loose/no grounds

excuse my noobness, but where would the ground be located for these bulbs? wiring scares me, so i've tried to stay far from it

i have the same problem. i changed the failure box, checked fuses and grounds, and changed the bulbs, but the problem was still there. i found out that i had to adjust the bulb to a certain point of contact and it would work fine.

clean the contacts put some electrical grease on them and see if it works. if one lights up and th eother one doesn't its not the failure box or wiring its the contact.
