Has anyone been able to get a hold of ARP L19 Head studs for the 7M? I know they're widely available for the 2J's but from what I understand they're not available for us 7M guys. Is this true? Is there a better alternative to the ARP kit they make now for us? Thanks for any help I can get!

they are good if you are making big power.
i believe they are 1/2 inch bolts.

pretty expensive studs from what i've gathered.
i think most just go with the standard arp headstuds.

not for anything but we are stock 12mm on the bolts (12mm x 1.25 to be exact) or .472" diameter on the thread which is only a measly .073" smaller than the 1/2 inch "upgrade" the 2jz folks have to do! ;) The 2jz is 10mm x 1.25 ;) We are already bigger than the 2jz headbolts!!! They have to upgrade. We already are upgraded!

No problem. I was told by a few of the high hp guys in Orlando that it was a really good idea to run the L19's. Figgie gave me the info I was looking for on SF. L19's seem to be overkill. I'm assuming Duane is on the ARP Head stud kit?

I agree based on what I've been reading now. These were 2J guys so I'm assuming they didn't realize the 7M difference

Thanks gentlemen

Hey Bryan, like I told Eli on the other forum, I know of a 1300hp 7m on the arp head bolts. You are good on the head studs. The chink in the chain is the #5 main, and at 1000 hp the 7m should have a girdle on the mains to help hold the bottom end up.

Care to machine me a girdle Rich? :)

Im gonna fab up a dry sump anyways, so no need for bolts on that main anymore....

Sorry for derailing the thread..... :)
