Hello Everyone,

I'm Marcus, I'd like to introduce not only myself, but the complete build-up of my mk3.

Well, First off this car created back in 1990 as a 7mge 5spd, over the course of its journey it was converted to a T61 single turbo 1jz'd car. I had actually ran into this car one day way back when I was building my first mk3. First sight/sound I was in love, It's exhaust tone was simply amazing, that along with the ssqv fluttering had me hooked. I was looking for the owner of this car awhile, even posted threads wondering whos mk3 it was. One day at a local meet the car showed up again only rolled thru and left, such a tease.. I finally ran into the owner on here a few months later. We eventually and hung out a time or two when schedules allowed, he was considering selling the car at the time. Few months go by and I got a call, found out he was moving and offered me the car at a unbeatable price. I got my funds right and purchased the car. My first car with power, best of all single turbo'd 1jz.

I eventually lost all motivation for my built 7mgte, ended up selling it a few months down the road to my good friend Zak I had meet on here. We fantasize over mk3's at the time and by me owning a 1jz'd supra really served to inspire us.

Well, This build really started Back when I had fuel issues and my ignorance at the time lead to losing the engine. My supra has been down since the end of 10', when my fuel pump failed in boost. From there I spent a few months collecting, and debating on what to do. My options were to rebuild or start the build I had always imagined. Time past but before you know it I had already started collecting parts, bring you this thread.

Here's some background:
1jzgte
Xs power T61
tial 44mm wastegate
Single turbo manifold
Stinger EMS.

Planning on taking the block to the machine shop tomorrow to have it honed, decked and checked out along with the pistons and rods. I decided since I was home for a change to strip the head and install the new OEM valve stems myself, tryina save all the money possible

Heres the tool I made last year for removing the springs:

Looks as the valves and seats have been cut correctly:

Everything removed:

Thanks! saving, good deals, 2 jobs, and smart spending. I price shop on everything (food, gas, parts) you'd be surprised how much you can save with slight modification to your route.

Everything Is now at the machine shop, The block has been cut and the head turns out needing to be cut, again. Whoever cut it the first time used the shitty belt sander and that is unacceptable. Maybe tmrw I can bring most of my parts in and get the head completed, Will try to get a camera to take decent pics.

The head is now just about completely put together, went to go hone the block today and the pitting didnt come out completely :/ now I am forced to find another block or get other pistons. I will get the correct work done to it and most likely post the block for sale, so if anyones interested..

Heres the progress with the front mount, I havent seen many done like this on supras so I figured why not. Will mounting it like this cause it to be much less efficient?

I decided to relocate the alternater and delete the tensioner aswell, just mockup on the 1jz.

Just take a look at what you are really doing and you will see why it is not a good ideal.

If you still don't understand why, here is an example.

At TX2K11, there were 1100RWHP Supra's that ran power steering, A/C and still kept the tensioner. It is a very important purpose that will save you a lot of dollars.

This car makes 1200HP. It is Sean's car at Titan.
