I was looking over my 1jz today. I'm not much of a buff on this motor and i was wondering if someone could tell me what the 2 hoses coming off the water pump go to. That and mine doesnt have a fan on it. could i possibly put one on it or do i have to to electric fans?

Its for the hydro fan. There are a couple threads about it, but pretty much its recommended that your either use the 1jz pump with a hydrofan or swap the entire water pump for a 2jz and go electric or fan clutch.
theoretically, you could also put a small transmission cooler between the lines. that is the route im taking.
I just did this swap on my JZA70 cause my hydro pump failed. Get the 2JZ-GTE waterpump from toyota, it comes with the pump and housing. You cant reuse the same pulley so buy the 1JZ/2JZ Pulley Set from driftmotion for $50 and your set.
