We just got the headgasket on the supra and now we can't get it running, It's perfectly intime, we checked for spark and it's getting spark and it's getting fuel since it sprays out like crazy... so it's good on fuel plus it's got a half a tank. Could it relate to the fuel injector? like if they weren't in order... not sure if it matters... The fuel injector wire connectors should be in order...

If it backfires when you are cranking it the timing is incorrect.
Set the crank to 0 remove & reinstall the distributor correctly & check your timing, should be 10 degrees BTDC (standard) or a little bit higher.

It doesn't backfire. Do the fuel injectors have to be in order? Do each fuel injector a designation Number? Like a Specific #1 fuel injector?

I suspect that even if the wires were out of order it will still run. Probably badly, but it should fire up.

We need to know how you checked for fuel, how you checked timing, and how you checked for spark. Oh, and how you aligned the cams with the crank when you put the head on.

Check your distributor timing. It should be pointed at #1 wire with the cam and crank marks aligned at the timing marks. Check the firing order. Should be 1-5-3-6-2-4 clockwise. This should help:

Ok, so we got it started... found out it was out of time and so we put it in time, and it starts and it's running at 10* BTDC. The problem was that we got the #5 injector connector on the #6 injector and the #6 injector connector on the #5 injector. So it's running now and it doesn't overheat it's running pretty o-k but it's smokes like NO OTHER... WHITE SMOKE! what could it be? We suspected a BHG... or a possible cracked head... but it's got a brand new headgasket and the mechanic supposedly had it checked at a shop but wasn't 100% sure that they crack checked it... I'm pretty sure shops that resurface and clean the head would Definetely check for cracks... please help.
