Thanks for the comments guys. So far I love the mk4. Pretty neat having both the mk3 and 4 though, always gives me a big smile when I walk into the garage! I hope my mk4 lives up to the reliability my mk3 has shown me (my mk3 has been very reliable) even with me racing/using the car as it was designed to be used.

I've got a decent base for a Mk2 restoration in my garage now, focusing on the Mk3, and the girlfriend wants to buy a Mk4 for herself in a couple years once her DD is paid off. Gonna need a bigger garage haha...

As far as I have been told the top end has never been changed and when I took the cams out to do valve stem seals the appeared to be USDM OEM cams to me. Garage space is always a problem

The car is a factory TT 6 spd, and it still has stock TT rear brakes. Up front there is 6 piston AP Racing Calipers and 14" rotors. If you want to see more of the track I have a bunch of videos of my 92 out on the track (see the youtube link in my sig) for different auto-x's they have had. Lots of elevation change, but it is really really tight.
