Ok I'm going to pick a jdm 7mgte tomorrow. For one I'm paying a hundred bucks for it. Down fall it's been sitting for 4 years. I'm thinking it's the perfect canidate for my pos till I do the rebuild on mine. Plan is to put all new gaskets, oil pump, my hks gasket and arp bolts on this motor. It spins fine but I plan on putting oil in each cylinder and crank it by hand before I even try to fire it up. Is there anythig else that anyone can think of that should be done? Remember this is a temp motor while I build mine.

before you start it, once its in the car, unplug the coil packs and pull the efi fuse. crank it for a while to get oilpressure happening and around. then plug the coils and fuse in and should be good to go. but for 100 bucks not bad!

Duh I forgot to add that I had planned on doing that. But thank you for reminding me. And ya that's a heck of a find. I thank.
