I have a jdm motor with no egr so im looking for a jdm ecu, How can you tell the difference between a jdm and a us one? I dont wanna be sold one that supposedly a jdm but is in fact is Just another U.S. This is for an 87-88 yellow plug ecu. Thank you.

Part number is the best way. If you have it, post the part number of the ECU you are planning on getting.

Not sure why this old thread got bumped, but I may as well add some info. My 89+ Gray Plug JDM A/T ECU is part number 89661-14230. Gray Plug M/T should be 89661-14630. The sticker is purple & red on the JDM instead of blue & yellow on the USDM.
