What the hell man, I made a thread asking what people would like in a GB, post pics of the potential product, and I get banned. WTF? No warning, nothing. I see people get warnings for making worse shit than I did, and I'm pretty sure what I did wasn't even against the rules. Anybody wanna chime in?

No, it is not.

It is set up to make $$$ and all those that threaten that or compete for the $$ will be banned. So many are actually niave enough to think that SF will pay for the hosting for other people to compete with their products?

It is like this:
SF is like a restaurant that you can hang at, but going there to sell your own food (using that as a metaphor) will not be tolerated.

Now I do have issues with the admins and think that they are a bit corrupt and liars (a few of them) and so I don't post there.
(I judge a site by who runs it.)
But I can clearly understand why they would ban people for what you did.

First thing anyone should do when they get on a forum is to read the rules and then decide if they can comply.

This post was objective and stated to exchange info, not make people feel bad.
So I mean no offense by it in case you don't like what I am saying.

How dare the admins.
They banned GotToyota because he tried to attempt a GB even though he emailed an admin with cash in hand to pay for the GB fee. I don't care what policy it is, he emailed someone with cash in hand and now hes punished. This is a big fuck you to those who did this to him.

Try to convince them that it was a "gauging interest" thread and not a group buy.
Gauging interest threads are permitted, but usually look a little different than what he started.

That may be the way to get him unbanned instead of breaking what they call "directly opposing the decision of a moderator"

SF is becoming more and more useless as time goes on.

Tell me why, I PMed a mod months ago about advertising my cafepress store. I was ignored. I PMed another mod recently, still ignored. Fine, I PMed RSA Supra about it, ignored still. Quick told me to PM Artaxeres (sp) so I did, ignored again!

But yet, I PMed RSA Supra not 2 hours ago about approving my car for sale in the SE forum, and he replied almost instantly! Amazing! Then completely ignores me asking about approval for sponsorship/advertising whatever.

I'm so glad I wasted my time making those damn mk4 shirts for cafepress when I can't even advertise to the mk4 owners :3d_frown:

But God knows, if I made a thread about it, or put a link in my sig I'd be instantly banned!

I have so many issues with that damn site. its not even funny. I hate about half the mods on there, who's only thing in life it seems is to sit on there and delete posts or change posts without warning. i understand it is a business, but it is also the main website for supra enthusiasts and there should be some leway in how people, who are supporting the supra owner, should be treated. Talk to Bryan at SupraTraderOnline.com he might let you advertise on his forums, but he just started his site recently and there are only a handfull of members and mostly noobs but hey it's worth a shot. Besides he is popular on SF too so he might have some influence on the admins.
