is my acis dead?

well our 7mge's hg went, and i took off the acis can (dont know the actual term for it) and it rattled like something was inside of it. is this normal? i dont imagine it is. i also have another acis can it also rattled so idn. if someone could tell me this is normal or not, id greatly appreciate it

the lil tank/can under the manifold that has the vacuum hoses connecting to. not the vsv's. sorry i didnt know what to call it. i searched on the tsrm and couldnt find anything on it and when i did a search here it only talked about altering the acis.

i just wanna know if the tank/can under the manifold is supposed to rattle or not. thanks for the reply and thanks in advanced to anyone else that responds

It is a vacuum resevoir.

mine did the same thing. I just used the vac. canister that came with my jdm engine. It didnt rattle. I dont think they are suppose to.

No, they aren't supposed to rattle.

I suppose you could be hearing the internal valves opening and slapping shut. I haven't opened one from a MKIII but the one I did open once had rather weak springs on the valves. They relied on the vacuum to close them.
