I'd try to kill him. Nothing to lose. I'll be fighting for my life so if I was in close range he'd have a hard time trying to kill me.
I would kill him. I'm a kind of pissed-off-in-general person and I am just waiting for the day someone puts a gun to my head to threaten me. Just so I have an excuse to inflict mortal harm.
When ever I have a serious argument with someone I always tell them to shut their mouth and do something about it, I would let them have the first punch or two, then I would light into them.

You see, there is the difference between a nice guy and someone mean like me. I've always run by the rule of do unto others before they do unto you... so the first hint that I'm really pissed off at them is usually when they wake up in the Emergency ward.
