Help me figure this out please...what am I overlooking? Fuses are good, everything is plugged in from what I can tell, I pulled the cluster again this afternoon to double check. When I pulled it today the clock was unplugged, I plugged that back in thinking that was the problem, but got nothing. So what else could it be?

Edit: Also, kinda OT, how hard is to replace the speedo cable, mine is fucked.

the speedo cable is a snap, well if its the lower one. but on the cluster problem. you have the proper fuses in there and not just random ones.. that makes a difference.

Yeah they're all the stock fuses. And the cable issue is actually the upper part, the cable is bent right where it needs to go into the speedo.

Thanks for the link, the thing is with all the lighting, it worked prior to one night when I was messing around behind the cluster, when I plugged everything back in, I got the problems I have now. What all is required to be plugged in to for everything to work? I've removed my CD player from the car, since it wasn't working I didn't want it in the car, but could it not being there cause everything else to not work?

its not the cd player.. unless something grounded out there. I'd go back through it and check for damaged wires, bad grounds, something you know. if it worked before it will work again just gotta sort through it.

couldn't be grounding out tho, then it would pop a fuse... hmm. I'd just give it another look see if you missed something.

Check the wires connected to the back of the cig. lighter. When I did my radio I found out that the cig lighter wires are attached to alot of other things. (unless thats just my supra you never know what someone has done before you hehe) If everything worked untill you removed the cd player then you must have pulled something loose back there.

Was the radio connected with an adapter, or was it spliced into the wires?

Just went out and plugged the CD player back in, nothing. I'll go back out tomorrow and pull everything apart again, and see what I can find.

Edit:Jdub, I hadn't thought of that, but will go do so now.

Checked everything again today, and turns out the small white plug that goes to the spade connector on the cig lighter was unplugged. Plugged it and all is well, my CD player still isn't working but I'm thinking it's the player at this point, it's due time for a a new one anyway.

Now to replace the speedo cable...

Thanks for the help guys!!
